Filter is a digital series & channel that explores the new cannabis culture, through curious and exploratory conversations.

  • Despite all the post-legalization buzz, there is still a lot of confusion surrounding cannabis among the general public. People have become more deliberate and educated in their consumption patterns, increasingly choosing products and services that contribute to physical and mental wellness, social equity and justice, and environmental sustainability.

    This is what first inspired Lauralee Sheehan, Filter’s executive producer and chief creative officer of Digital 55, and cannabis aficionado and industry-insider Kyle Merkley to develop a channel for digital shorts and series content highlighting the diversity of the cannabis industry, and the community of advocates, experts, and everyday enthusiasts surrounding it.

  • We began shooting back in winter 2019. Our content has been called β€œoffbeat” thanks to for our real, grounded approach to storytelling (think HONY, Rolling Stones interviews, Pizza Show, Almost Famous Op-Docs, or Down to Earth).

  • We have some big ideas for Filter. We dream of a robust content channel created for and by a vibrant online community of those who are canna-enthusiasts, educators, advocates, or just canna-curious.

    We’ve captured some amazing footage of people who are passionate about their businesses, their communities, and the elevating power of cannabis. We are eager to share their stories for the world to see.
